NOVEMBER’S MEETING PROGRAM
Elections. If you cannot make the meeting, please use the ballot at the end of this newsletter.
GREAT ONE TANK (more or less) TRIPS
Grove City is always a great place to shop. Sales at the outlet shopping mall are in full swing now and you can either get the courtesy car to the mall, or the shuttle. The FBO also have a great pilot shop with many gift items for your aviator friends. Mark 29D on your GPS.
MILESTONES
Mark Schaden bought a beautiful little Pitts Special – two wings, one hole, and a Lycoming O-320. Now Mark is a little faster than Mike !! Of course, Mike is now plotting to put an O-360 in his Pitts. Jack couldn’t stand the fabric on the Pitts fuselage so it got dragged into the club shop and they cut the fabric off. Now we know what Mark will be doing this winter.
Jim Herkner and Tim Connor are the proud owners of an IFR equipped C-172! Guess who will be working on their instrument tickets. Before we know it, the whole club will be able to go on road trips regardless of weather! The 172 will be available for rental through First Wings. Buy a block now and avoid the rush.
GREAT WEBSITES
This is a great website for both instructors and students. Check it out.
PilotJourney.com is a free website offering the student pilot a place to find flight instruction, keep a Reflective Journal, ask questions, read entertaining and informative training articles, and learn about flying. Instructional tools, such as the Index of Learning Styles, help students and instructors make the best use of lesson time by allowing the instructor to plan each lesson according to each student’s personal learning style. http://www.pilotjourney.com/UPCOMING EVENTS
