Pres. Airspace.
Hey everyone. Hope all is well and everyone has gotten some airtime
between all the thunderstorms. We have a lot of things coming up we need
to go over.
First of all?
NEXT EAA CHAPTER 5 MEETING
Summer Picnic at Chuck Reed's Airport
Saturday, August 23rd, from 1:00- 4:00 p.m.
Our August meeting will be our summer picnic and will take place at Chuck
Reed's Pheasant Run Airport on Trask Road in Madison. Chuck has graciously
agreed to host the picnic again this year. Chuck has a collection of
vintage aircraft that every aviator would dream about.
The chapter will provide burgers, bratwurst and chicken for the grill.
Everyone please bring a covered dish to pass.
Pheasant Run Airport is not a child friendly environment - no children
under 12 please.
I am copying Tim's directions from last year?..
"Driving directions are rather complicated, but try this:
From the South:
North on SR 528 through Thompson.
From the East:
I-90 to SR 528 South toward Thompson.
½ mile North of the square in Thompson, turn West on Moseley Road. It will
become Balch Road and eventually end at a tee intersection with Trask Road.
Turn South on Trask until you see the airport on the West side of the
road.
From the West: I-90 to Vrooman, South on Vrooman, East on Carter Rd.
(it's the first road you'll come too). Go several miles and over a waterfall and
under a freeway and around a sharp bend to the right. Turn right on
Ford Road and go back over the freeway. Turn South on Trask Road and past Balch
Road and you will see the airport on the West side of the road. "
NEW NEWS
After our pancake breakfast/ Young eagle rally the CGAA asked for our help
to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Geauga County Airport.
On September 20th (rain or shine) we are combining our Fall Pig Roast with
an Airport day celebrating the 35 anniversary of the Geauga County Airport.

the lines of 135 years of flight. Please keep this date as open as possible
Brian King has been working on organizing this with the GCAA. This
will be an all day event.
There will be various activities through the day with a presentation
around 1:00pm or so for the airport founders.
The CGAA is taking care of all auto parking so that should free us up to
handle the tasks below. We will be breaking down tasks as follows. We
have 55+ members so we should be able to handle this and it should be a
great day.

In lieu of this undertaking, we will have a organizational meeting on the Monday the 15th of Sept at 7:00 pm at monthly chapter meeting.
We will give out more information and will be contacting members for
