NEXT EAA
CHAPTER MEETING –
Monday, June
17, at 7:00 p.m.
At Geauga
County Airport
Our presenters will be our own members Dave Nuss and Rick Perko who will be giving a glider presentation and possibly a demonstration, weather and circumstances permitting. Learn what it’s like to be a REAL pilot!
We
still need volunteers for the fly-in.
Please contact Tim Connor if
you would like to lend a hand.
Volunteers are needed to flip pancakes, park planes and cars and clean
up.
SUNDAY PICNICS
Our
summer Sunday evening picnics have once again commenced. Ed
Malovic fires up the grill about 6PM every Sunday evening. You don’t have to bring anything, just call
Ed or Tim (440 897 4311 or 440 636 5287) before 4PM on Sunday and tell them how
many people you are bringing and then show up around 6PM. Just $5 a plate and enjoy the rest of the
evening with aviation enthusiasts. Some
Sundays will feature a bonfire!
WORK SESSIONS
Still
some work to be done. Please check your
e-mail from Ed Malovic when a
session is scheduled. More hands, less
work!
SUMMER FLYING
It
seems like Summer is finally here and Chapter members are making the most of
it. We go somewhere almost every weekend (wx permitting). Recently we’ve gone to Butler for dinner at
the Runway Restaurant (yes , it overlooks the runway) and to Grove City were
some went shopping at the Outlet Mall and all had dinner at the Elephant &
Castle. Pictures from many of these events are on the website at www.eaa5.org If you would like to join the fun, call Tim
for the latest details (440 897 4311).
Want some ideas of great places to fly out for family fun? How about the Cincinnati aquarium? Located in Newport Kentucky directly across the Ohio River from Cincinnati, it is just a short hop from Lunken Airport (LUK). Million Air has two brand new courtesy minivans for your use on a first come-first serve basis. The aquarium is open 365 days a year and costs $16.50 per person. Several tanks are walk-through (under) that give the illusion of being in the water with the aquatic life. There is also a stunning jellyfish exhibit. Shopping and restaurants in the Newport Levee district complete the trip with dining on a riverboat or restaurant overlooking the Ohio River. Tim Connor, Carol Gragg, Randy and Naomi St.Julian personally give this a THUMBS UP! We had a blast!

Randy is the guy hiding behind the camera.

MUCHAS GRACIAS
A
thumbs up to Josh Goodridge who
picked up the carpet that was donated to the club and delivered it to the
clubhouse. THANKS! What an improvement it will make!
